Given the emergencies that we experienced during the past year and the challenges in opening and operating a shelter, it was crucial to develop a written plan and policies for shelter operations, Mr. Holstrom said.

The five-page policy he presented asks that those who seek shelter in case...

May 20 2012

Last Friday, the fourth season of Fringe ended with an action-packed finale. There was a shocking special guest star, a shocking near-death, a shocking pregnancyand, in the end, a shocking lack of closure on a season that began with a controversial timeline reboot. On this day, Weaver is busy removing, with surgeonlike precision, 30-year-old tape from a 72-year-old king-size Gone With The Wind jacket from a press book marking the first anniversary of the Oscar-winning movie.

The item, covered with photos and other details from the GWTW 1939 premiere in Atlanta, recently survived a fire at a Stockbridge storage unit where it had been housed along with several hundred other pieces of Gone With The Wind memorabilia. Water from firefighters hoses also caused the backside of the jacket to bleed through, giving the item a slightly pink hue.
